Regina Mallare

Youth Organizer

Regina is a first-generation Filipina and has lived in the Inland Empire for over 15 years. After settling in the United States from the Philippines, she witnessed the struggles immigrant communities are subject to as a consequence of systemic inequities in US society. Regina graduated from University of California, Santa Barbara with a degree in Asian American Studies with the intention to uplift and organize marginalized communities. Her passion for ethnic studies led her to serve the Filipinx community by creating a virtual mentorship program for Filipinx youth. Regina is part of the movement for democracy and liberation in the Philippines, and furthers this movement by agitating, organizing, and mobilizing the masses. As a youth organizer with the IEIYC, she advocates for solidarity across immigrant communities to struggle for positive change in the region. Regina believes that a better world is possible, and that IEIYC creates change by holding spaces that educate, heal, and empower immigrant youth to unapologetically chase their dreams.
